This cannot go on – say the allotment holders. Instead of resting and relaxing at their allotments, older people have to do everything according to a schedule, following a special timetable for water availability. Water is available three times a week: on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Why? Because the pipeline is leaking somewhere and the water has to be turned off. Another problem is water pressure. It is not difficult to imagine that when everyone waters their gardens at the same time during these hours, the water pressure drops. These problems at the allotments on Łasicka Street have been going on for two years already.

What do the allotment holders themselves say about the matter?

The main path through the allotments has been dug up because the pipeline there is leaking and access to the valves is necessary. The allotment holders calculated that approximately 20 litres of water leak every hour. And someone has to pay for it... So the water has to be turned off to prevent losses... According to the allotment holders, the private company selected through a tender to install the connection did the work incorrectly and is now in no hurry to repair the failure. The allotment holders do not know when the failure will be repaired, or whether it will be repaired at all. We do not want anything more; we only want water and normal access to it - the allotment holders say.

The allotment holders contacted the company that installed the pipeline, the management board of the Gwarek Allotment Gardens in Bolesławiec and the President of the Board herself regarding the matter. Mr Piotr (who speaks in the video material), who also has an allotment there, joined the management board of the Gwarek Allotment Gardens and is also trying to resolve the problem. However, there is still no end to the water problems in sight... The allotment owners do not intend to give up.
