Talented children from Ukraine with Polish roots will come to Bolesławiec in July this year. Their two-day stay in our town is part of their holiday in Poland. They are travelling there as a reward for winning awards in art competitions promoting Polish culture.

In Bolesławiec, thanks to the efforts of Józefa Witas, a member of the “Via Sudetica” association, attractions and accommodation have been arranged for them. On her behalf, we are asking for help organising meals for our guests. There are twenty children aged between 8 and 15. During their two-day stay in our town, they will need breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Stowarzyszenie Komandosów will organise a rafting trip on the Bóbr River for them. The organisers are also planning a bonfire.

People from Bolesławiec can also offer to host a child in their home for the entire 20-day stay. The children have their time organised and spend their holiday mainly on trips. Therefore, care usually consists of preparing a meal for the child, taking them to the meeting point in the morning and picking them up in the evening. So far, apart from the Witas family, the children have been hosted by Mariola Krajewska from Bolesławiec and Urszula Krzywdzińska from Nowogrodziec. If more families from Bolesławiec accepted children, it would be easier to organise their transport to and from the meeting point each day.
