When the body is ailing, the spirit (psyche) can work miracles that even modern medicine cannot explain, although it most often acknowledges them. When the soul suffers, the body also begins to fall ill.

To avoid succumbing to illness, doubt and loneliness, events such as this one, organized by the Bolesławiec Amazons’ Club, are held. To take part in the Intergenerational Integration Picnic, the women invited members of the Association of the Blind from the Bolesławiec branch, residents of the Daily Senior+ Home, the Carpe Diem association, and children and caregivers from the District Special Schools and Institutions Complex.

The picnic took place on the grounds of the daily home at Staroszkolna Street, which, following a recently completed renovation, now has a large, excellently equipped garden.

There were games and activities, sports competitions, and students from the music school performed a concert. The organizers ensured everyone could rest in the shade—the heat was pouring down from the sky, which discouraged no one—as well as providing adequate hydration for the competitors and refreshments.

Everyone received commemorative medals. The event was co-financed by Powiat Bolesławiecki.
