A reader, a resident of Ławszowa, wrote to us and drew attention to a pavement that was improved a year ago. The complainant:

The problem is that it is difficult to walk along this pavement because nobody takes care of the verge. The grass is so high that it takes up half the pavement, and after rain it “falls” onto it. It is also nice to sit on the bench, but [...] it can barely be seen anymore behind all that grass.

And she explained:

I take this route several times a day with my child in a stroller, and it is difficult to get through when grass “gets into” my child’s stroller or various kinds of bugs simply fall onto my daughter!!!!

She also added:

I will not even mention that after rain there is no chance of getting along the pavement without putting a bag over yourself, because otherwise getting soaked is guaranteed.

Renata Durda-Tyszkiewicz, road infrastructure and EU funds inspector at the Osiecznica Municipal Office:

We inform you that the pavement is located alongside a county road. Maintenance of the pavement, including mowing the verge, is the responsibility of the District Roads Authority in Bolesławiec. We sent the photograph and email to the Bolesławiec County Office and the District Roads Authority in Bolesławiec, asking them to mow the verge.
