Officials from Gmina Bolesławiec are urging caution in connection with “the activities of entities exploiting human naivety and promising to arrange grants, i.e. co-financing from the 2014–2020 Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship—measure 3.3.e, for replacing non-environmentally friendly heat sources with new, environmentally friendly ones.”

Municipality:

These entities have currently intensified their activities in Lower Silesia, taking the form of meetings with residents who are offered grant agreements to sign—an extreme manipulation exploiting residents’ lack of knowledge.

The mayor explains:

Gmina Bolesławiec, together with several other municipalities, joined the “Coalition for Improving Air Quality in the Municipalities of the Western Area of Intervention (ZOI),” led by the local branch of the Free Enterprise Association, headquartered at 2 Stalowa Street in Świdnica.

On behalf of the municipalities named above, the leader submitted an application on 26 April this year to the Lower Silesian Intermediate Body for funding for projects under measure 3.3.e. This institution has approximately six months to review the application. After that period, we will learn whether funding will be granted and in what amount.

And adds:

If funding is granted, information about a call for residents to submit applications for financial support to replace old heat sources with new ones will appear on the leader’s website and on the website of each municipality belonging to the coalition.
