One of Jan Brzechwa’s most popular works for children, this time presented in a slightly different convention. Visually, the performance references Baroque theatre. And if it is Baroque, then it is opera. And if it is opera, then there is singing. This well-known story, presented as a musical performance, will showcase a playful exploration of theatrical conventions.
I am not an ordinary cat,
You will soon find that out.
There are Maltusian cats,
Cuban and Burmese,
Siamese and Tobolsk cats,
There are Chinese and Polish ones,
But I am a rare breed,
A breed that until now has roamed
The Bergamut Islands
And always walks in boots.
