The first project is the “Reconstruction of County Road No. 2294D between Suszki and Stare Jaroszowice” under the Programme for the Development of Municipal and County Road Infrastructure for 2016–2019.
The road connects the voivodeship road in Suszki with the county road between Bolesławiec and Ustronie, linking Bolesławiec County with Lwówek County. This is the second stage of the reconstruction. The first was completed in 2018.
The reconstruction is urgent: the surface is damaged, the road is narrow, the shoulders are rutted, there are no pavements, and the bus bays are far from meeting the required standards.
Following the reconstruction—which will renew a nearly 1,700-metre section—the road will be 6 metres wide, with a 2-metre pavement on one side. In total, the length will be 1,291 metres.
To improve safety, sections of the road will be bordered with safety barriers. Two bus stops and access roads to properties and fields will be built. The total cost of the repair is PLN 3,420,000, half of which will be covered by the voivode’s grant.
The second application for funding under the Programme for the Development of Municipal and County Road Infrastructure for 2016–2019 concerns the reconstruction of an 1,885-metre section of Road No. 2270D in Osła, in Gromadka Municipality.
The road is located on the boundary between Bolesławiec and Legnica counties. It will be reinforced by laying a new surface and widened to 5.5 metres. Shoulders will be constructed, and a 2-metre-wide pavement will be laid along a 200-metre section.
Two bus bays will be built, one with a platform. The new surface will be laid in two layers after the road has been levelled and reinforced with an anti-cracking mesh. Reconstructing the road will enable public transport vehicles and emergency services to travel more smoothly and quickly. New pavements and bus bays will improve the safety of children commuting to school. A new drainage system, created by constructing a ditch, will also help address road flooding.
The repair will cost PLN 2,400,000, half of which will be covered by the grant.
Tender procedures for both projects have already been announced. The bids will be opened later in May.
