Officers:

Forests and recreational areas are not places for people who damage the natural environment, scare wild animals and disregard the applicable regulations.

What regulations apply?

  • Article 29 of the Forests Act:
Motor vehicles, animal-drawn vehicles and mopeds may be driven in forests only on public roads; on forest roads, they may be driven only when those roads are marked with signs permitting traffic on them.
  • Article 161 of the Petty Offences Code:
Anyone who, without authorisation or without the consent of the owner or possessor of a forest, drives a motor vehicle, animal-drawn vehicle or moped into a forest that does not belong to them in a place where this is prohibited, or leaves such a vehicle in a forest in a place not designated for this purpose, is liable to a fine.
