As the Bolesławiec municipal police officers wrote on their website, spring has not been spoiling us this year. The heating season has been extended, and as a result, the troublesome burning of waste is still a problem.

On 14 May, the Bolesławiec Municipal Police duty officer received a report of heavy smoke in the vicinity of Zgorzelecka Street. It turned out that the smoke had originated on Generała Nila Street.

During the inspection, the Municipal Police discovered that, in addition to fuel permitted by law, a resident was burning remnants of furniture boards.

The offender was fined. A date was also set for another inspection of the premises.

Bolesławiec Municipal Police:

Remember! We breathe what we use to heat our apartments and houses. Although the weather is not conducive to tidying up home gardens today, we also remind you that burning plant residues in the open air is prohibited within the city of Bolesławiec.

Biodegradable waste should be composted or handed over free of charge to the Selective Waste Collection Point, located at 6 Staszica Street in Bolesławiec.
