In a response sent to our editorial office, the press spokesperson confirmed that the local Bolec portal did not ask Fr. Adam Langhammer for permission to include his post in its article. Below, we quote the response to our question: Is a homophobic attitude appropriate for a Piarist monk?
After reviewing how Fr. Adam Langhammer’s Facebook post was used, with reference to the email response already sent by Fr. Adam himself, as well as his subsequent Facebook post on the subject, I would like to point out that there is no doubt that the post used inappropriate words with regard to homosexual people. As you rightly noted, the Christian faith demands respect for every person. Hence the justified reaction of Fr. Adam himself and the publication of a post with an explanation and apology.
