We received another report that fiber-optic internet in Nowogrodziec gmina is still not working. The Reader:

The Alianet company [...] is also unable to provide any information on the matter. When they were still answering the phones, they said that after the May holiday weekend they were supposed to sign paperwork with some local company that would handle internet delivery, and the name of that company would be posted on the website.

The person who filed the report added that, unfortunately, since then there has been “grave silence” from the aforementioned company.

We asked the Nowogrodziec local government for comment. Officials from Gmina Nowogrodziec informed us that the mayor, Robert Relich, met with Eugeniusz Kowalik, President of the Management Board of Dolnośląska Sieć Szkieletowa Operator S.A. in Wrocław, and “received assurances of efforts to resume the work and launch services for Residents”.

Nowogrodziec Municipal Office added:

Our Gmina joined an investment project with the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Wrocław in order to launch modern fiber-optic technologies in connection with economic and social development. We will continue to monitor the situation and strive to improve it.

We will return to this topic.
