After laying flowers beneath the Memorial Plaque for the Victims of the Smolensk Disaster on Kubika Street and the Memorial Plaque for Jerzy Szmajdziński (on Opitza Street), Małgorzata Sekuła-Szmajdzińska began her Saturday visit to Bolesławiec. The European Parliament candidate was welcomed by the head of the local SLD structures, Stanisław Chwojnicki.

Next, the candidate of the European Coalition – SLD for the European Parliament (number 3 on the list) gave a brief address and met with residents of Bolesławiec. Małgorzata Sekuła-Szmajdzińska was accompanied by Marek Dyduch – Chair of the Lower Silesian SLD Board – and Arkadiusz Sikora – Secretary of the Lower Silesian SLD Board.

Both Małgorzata Sekuła-Szmajdzińska and Marek Dyduch encouraged Bolesławiec residents to take part in the elections. “You know me and you know that a vote for me will not be a wasted vote. I will make every effort to represent you with dignity in our large homeland, the European Union,” Małgorzata Sekuła-Szmajdzińska said during the meeting with Bolesławiec residents.

According to the candidate, the upcoming elections are very important for Poland’s continued functioning within the European Union, for the development of poorer regions in our voivodeship, and generally for how our country is perceived around the world. The SLD candidate does not agree with political actions that create conflict and set people against one another. She does not accept divisions or a policy of excluding from public life those who have opinions different from those in power.
