Just two weeks have passed since the city bicycle rental service was launched in Bolesławiec, and some of the bicycles have already been damaged. A bent handlebar basket, a damaged cable cover, broken fenders, a damaged lamp, a hole in the saddle or vomit dried onto a bicycle... This is what some of the rental bicycles look like.
What is more, a video is reportedly circulating online showing young people riding the bicycles and crashing into each other. If the bicycles continue to be “used” in this way, soon there will be nothing left to ride. Can we really not respect shared property and refrain from mindlessly destroying it?
Another problem is leaving the bicycles wherever people happen to leave them. Recently, an employee servicing the rental system had to make a special trip to collect a bicycle from the amphitheater grounds on Spacerowa Street. Of course, the bicycles can be left in various public places around the city, but it is worth thinking a little sometimes...
