This is the only initiative of its kind in Lower Silesia and one of the largest in Poland, organised as part of the EURES-TriRegio partnership.

More than eighty exhibitors have confirmed their participation: employers, employment agencies and institutions connected with the labour market.

– So far, this is a record number both of exhibitors and job offers. It is also an opportunity for people living in the border region to find a new or more satisfying job. But not only for them, as residents from all across Lower Silesia are coming to Zgorzelec. Visitors from Greater Poland and Opole Voivodeship are also expected – says Bartosz Kotecki, deputy director of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Labour Office and organiser of the fair.

The demand for good workers is enormous, as demonstrated, among other things, by the growing number of exhibitors each year. There will be a very wide choice of job offers and employers. Each business submits several or even a dozen or so offers in various occupations and sectors, ranging from simple auxiliary production work, through hotel and catering workers, drivers and fitters, qualified workers in the metal industry and construction, to specialists in finance. There are also job offers related to caring for older people, positions in healthcare and vacancies in the uniformed services. A list of all exhibitors and employers’ job offers can be found at eures.dwup.pl.

– In addition to employers and employment agencies, visitors to the fair will also be able to visit stands run by labour offices from Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic, where they will receive information and advice related to working abroad. Other labour-market institutions will also attend and share information on education, health insurance and labour law. Naturally, everything will be presented in the context of working in the border region – adds Lilla Jaroń, deputy director of DWUP.

For years, DWUP has been supported in organising the fair by the District Labour Office in Zgorzelec, as well as honorary patrons: the City of Zgorzelec and Zgorzelec County.
