On April 13–14, the first International Boxing Tournament “Devil Energy Drink Boxing Cup” was held in Karpacz. The Ratownicy Górscy Sports Hall hosted boxing teams from the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Ukraine, as well as leading Polish boxing clubs.
The tournament was conceived by the coach of Red Fighters Jelenia Góra, while the mayor of Karpacz served as patron of the event. The event was held to a high standard, both in terms of the number of decorated athletes and the level of the bouts, and was broadcast by the bokser.org.
The strong field, made up of champions from various countries, ensured that the bouts were contested at a high level of amateur boxing. The special guest of the competition was professional boxer Robert “Mr. KO” Parzęczewski.
Our city was represented in the senior category by the best athlete from TOP Boks Bolesławiec – Piotr Motyka. The boxer from Bolesławiec disappointed neither his supporters nor his coach; he proved that he can win strong tournaments of this calibre.
This time, P. Motyka boxed in the 64 kg weight class. In his first bout, he defeated Mariusz Kożyszczak from Akademia Boksu by RSC in the third round. On Sunday, he faced Italian representative Zeus Pasquale in the final. The TOP Boks Bolesławiec athlete won 3:0 and became the winner of the tournament in his weight class.
Congratulations, and we wish our boxer continued success.
