Since this morning, we have been receiving reports of a malfunction at the railway crossing on Modłowa Street in Bolesławiec. A reader sent us a video with the following comment:
The situation this morning, at 6 a.m. I would like to point out that [the train] slowed down right before the barrier.
We reported the matter to PKP PLK. We appeal for caution!

Bohdan Ząbek of PKP PLK explains:
This morning, a malfunction occurred at Bolesławiec station in the computer system controlling, among other things, the equipment securing railway crossings.
At that time, in accordance with the applicable procedures and to ensure complete safety, the speed of trains passing through the crossing was limited to 20 km/h, with an audible warning given beforehand. The malfunction was fixed at approximately 6:35 a.m.
The submitted [...] video shows precisely such a slow train passage accompanied by an audible warning, in accordance with the procedures introduced for the duration of the malfunction repair.
