This year, we had the opportunity to see two performances by the theatre studio: the fairy tale for the youngest, "Mróz Mrozowicz", and the performance „DA DA”, staged to mark International Theatre Day.
Theatre classes are engaging and involve a warm-up, text preparation and numerous exercises that teach stage expression and movement. The young participants prepare texts by well-known poets, including Jeremi Przybora, Brzechwa and Gałczyński, as well as by outstanding playwrights.
The workshop work is dynamic, energetic and full of joy. The instructor focuses primarily on learning to feel at ease on stage, maintaining a confident posture—that is, being free from fear on stage—and trusting one’s partners. Participation in the classes develops teamwork skills, as well as the ability to listen attentively and respond to the actions of stage partners using a variety of improvisational techniques: from classical improvisation to original techniques of dramatic and emotional-movement-vocal improvisation.
Theatre classes conducted by Urszula Frąszczak-Matyjewicz take place at BOK – MCC, in the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre building at 17 Chopina Street, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For more information, call: 75 645 35 98.
