Last weekend, the Polish Club Orienteering Championships were held in the Kraków-Częstochowa Jura. On Friday, a relay race was held in which UKS Tukan Iwiny athletes (Marek Wojnowicz, Wojciech Pachnik, Mateusz Madej) finished ahead of the favored team from Pabianice and took second place. UKS Orientuś Łódź won the competition.

On Saturday, competitors took part in the classic race. Małgorzata Szeliga, despite an ankle injury, shared first place with Edyta Baluta of UKS Patria Młynne. The young women’s category was also won by Angelika Haniszewska. In the highly competitive M-18 category, Mateusz Madej finished eighth, while his brother, competing in the M-16 category, qualified for the National Youth Olympics.

On Sunday, the sprint race took place. Małgorzata Szeliga, who was injured, finished third. Wojciech Pachnik came sixth. Two other athletes also finished in the top ten: Marcin Wieczorek (eighth) and Paweł Werda (tenth).
