As part of the Bolesławiec Chess Festival, the International Chess Meeting for the Nysa Euroregion Cup was held on Sunday, 10 May. Here are the names of the winners in the individual categories:

  • Simona Jinova and Jiri Liska – in the under-12 category
  • Denisa Jinova and Tomas Kucera – in the 13–15 category
  • Huyen Tran Khuc and Michał Mikłaszewicz – in the 16–18 category
  • Barbara Stafińska and Paweł Wodas – in the 19-and-over category

In the overall classification, the winners were Huyen Tran Khuc and Paweł Wodas.

The “Chess Motifs” art competition was also decided on Sunday; nearly 100 entries were submitted. In the primary-school category, Oliwia Fila from Primary School No. 3 and Gabriela Chlebowska from Primary School No. 2 won jointly. In the lower-secondary-school category, the main prize went to Łukasz Janiec from Lower Secondary School No. 3.

The meeting was accompanied by the “Living Chess” spectacle, a tournament between Bolesławiec and Liberec, its partner city. The hosts won, led by the excellent Kacper Grela.

An outdoor simultaneous chess exhibition was also held during the chess festival. Three players drew against Jolanta Zawadzka, a chess grandmaster. The remaining players had to acknowledge the superiority of the outstanding chess player.
