The zDolny Ślązaczek and zDolny Ślązak Gimnazjalista competitions are the most prestigious provincial competitions for primary school students and lower-secondary school students from Lower Silesia. Their aim is to support students’ talents (the competition is held as part of the Lower Silesian Talent Support System). Their laureates may freely choose a secondary school and are exempt from the relevant part of the eighth-grade or lower-secondary school examination, while finalists receive additional recruitment points.
This year’s laureates of the zDolny Ślązak Gimnazjalista competition from the School of the Piarist Order in Bolesławiec are:
- Mikołaj Węglarz – laureate title in biology, history, geography and chemistry;
- Magdalena Sudół – laureate title in German and Polish, and finalist in history;
- Antoni Łasica – laureate title in physics and mathematics;
- Piotr Siarkowski – laureate title in English;
- Jagoda Jarosz – laureate title in Polish;
- Anna Filip – laureate title in Polish.
We warmly congratulate the students! At the same time, in connection with the education reform, we would like to offer primary and lower-secondary school students from Bolesławiec and the surrounding area the opportunity to continue their education at the Public General Secondary School of the Piarist Order, which is accepting applications for the 2019/2020 school year.
We plan to open two classes – one for primary school graduates and one for lower-secondary school graduates. Each class will offer two specialisations with the following extended subjects:
- mathematics and physics specialisation – with extended mathematics, physics and computer science;
- biology and chemistry specialisation with extended biology, chemistry and English
Here is why it is worth attending the Piarist secondary school:
- education based on Christian values;
- The Stanisław Konarski Piarist General Secondary School in Bolesławiec is a public school and therefore free of charge;
- a high standard of education, demonstrated by students’ very good results in the lower-secondary school examination and their laureate and finalist titles in numerous subject competitions;
- a wonderful family atmosphere and very good premises ensuring safety;
- classes of no more than 22 students;
- lessons are held in a single-shift system, start at 8:00 a.m. and end no later than 3:20 p.m.;
- students can expand their knowledge and develop their interests during extracurricular activities organised as subject clubs. When necessary, they are entitled to individual consultations with teachers;
- the area around the school and the inside of the building are covered by a monitoring system;
- parents can contact teachers daily via the electronic school register;
- before classes begin, all newly admitted students and their homeroom teachers will take part in an integration camp.
