The accident occurred after 9:00 a.m. On a straight section of road between Tomaszów Bolesławiecki and Wilczy Las, two Mercedes cars collided.

The driver travelling towards Bolesławiec failed to exercise caution. While overtaking, he skidded and collided head-on with the other car. As a result of the collision, the Mercedes travelling correctly left the road and ended up in a ditch, and its driver was taken to hospital with injuries.

Initial findings indicate that the driver who was overtaking was sober.
