The so-called swine flu remains a problem. As we read on the zinfo.pl website:
According to information we managed to establish, one person died as a result of the illness. It has not been confirmed that it was swine flu. The man was reportedly taken to hospital in a terminal condition. All procedures were initiated to prevent the disease from spreading.
The information about cases of infection with the virus was confirmed in an interview with the Zgorzelec news website by the medical director of the Wielospecjalistyczny Hospital SPZOZ in Zgorzelec, Marcin Wolski:
Over the course of a week and a half, we identified three cases of swine flu infection in our hospital. After examining and assessing the patients who came to our hospital, we determined that they are or had been ill with this disease.
[…] the hospital took measures aimed at reducing the risk of infection transmission and the development of epidemiological outbreaks. We limited visiting opportunities in our wards and artificial gatherings of people in the hospital emergency department by triaging patients. We also have a full supply of antiviral medications that are effective and routinely used for this disease and, once it is diagnosed, enable treatment.
