The incident occurred on Monday, February 11, in the morning, on Route 94, near Parzyce (Nowogrodziec gmina).

Two cars collided head-on: a BMW driven by a 21-year-old man and a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 19-year-old.

Both drivers were injured and taken to hospital. (Both are residents of Bolesławiec County).

An air ambulance helicopter was called to the scene, but it was cancelled because of strong winds. (It would not have been able to land).

According to the uniformed services' preliminary findings, the BMW driver caused the accident. He was driving too fast, lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the opposite lane, causing the head-on collision. The case will probably end up in court.

It is not yet known how serious the injuries suffered by both drivers are.
