On Wednesday, April 29, Bolesławiec police officers caught a 19-year-old resident of Bolesławiec in the act. He had attempted to break into the Sanctuary of the Assumption of the Mother of the Church. The suspect did not manage to overcome all the security measures. He was arrested by police officers who, while patrolling the city, noticed a smashed window above the entrance to the church.

Police officers arrested the suspect by the altar. The man managed only to break one of the locks securing the tabernacle. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
