We have received another report from a reader à propos National Road 94, this time on the way out of Bolesławiec towards Zgorzelec.
Driver:
The work involved milling away the damaged asphalt and laying a new surface in its place. […] has already been completed, but the quality of the work leaves much to be desired. The new surface was laid in such a way that large level differences formed where the new and old asphalt meet, causing vehicle suspensions to be damaged.
The result? In the Reader’s opinion, the road is “worse after the renovation than before it”.
What is more, according to the person who submitted the report, the “most botched work” is located near the former Prnjavor motel.
Joanna Borkowska, spokesperson for the Wrocław branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways:
Partial repairs on this section were carried out during the winter period as part of routine road maintenance. Their purpose was to provide temporary protection for the road surface against further deterioration.
J. Borkowska adds:
All defects will be repaired by the Contractor under the warranty once winter conditions have ended.
What do you think? Do you agree with the Reader? How is it to drive along that road? We invite you to join the discussion.
