European Run with SLD

The fifth anniversary of Poland’s accession to the structures of the European Union is approaching. On this occasion, 1 May the Bolesławiec District Council of the Democratic Left Alliance is organizing a competition under the slogan “Running with Europe”.

The organizers want the event to become a permanent part of our city’s traditions and to promote a healthy lifestyle. The competition is open to everyone. To take part, simply register your intention to participate at the organizers’ desk, located in front of Hotel Piast, one hour before the start (that is, at around 10:00).

3rd Friends of Bridge Tournament

The bridge competition will be held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Bolesławiec Bridge Club. On 1 May (from 10:00), BKB invites everyone to the small room beside the I LO sports hall. Everyone interested will be able to play in a pair with members of the Bolesławiec Bridge Club.

The Mayor invites you to the May celebrations

On Saturday, 2 May, we will celebrate the Day of the Flag of the Republic of Poland. The celebrations will begin in the Market Square at 12:00. This will be the first time Flag Day is celebrated in Bolesławiec in such a solemn manner. The organizers would like 2 May to be a special day for Bolesławiec residents—a day when everyone meets to express their national belonging.

On Sunday, 3 May, celebrations marking Constitution Day on 3 May will be held. At 13:00, a Mass for the Homeland will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Castle Square). At 15:00, the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre will host the opening of the post-competition exhibitions “Poland Is a Great Thing” and “Poland Is My Homeland”.

May Day at Kliczków Castle

This year, the event will be divided into two parts: the Knightly May Day celebration will take place on 1 May, while Regional Equestrian Competitions will be held on 2 and 3 May. Raft trips on the Kwisa will also be organized from 1 to 3 May.

Euroregional Equestrian Competitions

On 1 May, at 10:00, the Euroregional Show-Jumping Equestrian Competitions will begin at the Water Sports Centre on Spacerowa Street.
