During firing and fire-control exercises, the soldiers under Maj. Robert Olesia, acting commander of the 3rd Rocket Artillery Squadron, honed their execution of tactical standards and combat tasks.
From the morning hours, the firing units moved to their designated initial areas, where, after reaching readiness, they began carrying out tactical and firing tasks.
They practiced taking up combat formations, maneuvering within and between firing-position areas, as well as carrying out procedures for preparing and executing firing tasks.
As part of testing the functional skills of teams, sections and crews, two batteries of 122 mm WR-40 LANGUSTA launchers carried out live-fire tasks. The training enabled the squadron commander to test the command and fire-control system, as well as the combat and logistical support elements of the subordinate units.
