On Monday, February 4, 2019, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and Lt. Col. Eric J Gilge—commander of the 1st Engineer Battalion, part of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, and US Army officers spoke at Bolesławiec City Hall about the soldiers’ stay and the possibility of organizing joint initiatives during the rotation as part of the rotational presence of US troops in the region.
Approximately 250 US soldiers will be stationed in Bolesławiec until the summer months as part of Atlantic Resolve.
