Students of the University of the Third Age attended a lecture entitled A Sip of Health – a health-promoting project raising awareness of how harmful the unnecessary and excessive use of medicines and dietary supplements can be.

Thanks to this project, the participants had a chance to expand their knowledge of natural medicine and learn how diseases can be prevented at home in simple ways. The project is supported by BGŻ BNP Paribas, represented by Patrycja Majewska, director of the Bolesławiec branch. Patrycja Majewska is the bank’s local ambassador, actively works for the local community and is involved in its life. The ambassador’s main task is to create or undertake important and necessary social initiatives.

The lecture, bearing the ironic title “How to Be Chronically Healthy,” was delivered by a specialist in herbal medicine and supplements. During the lecture, she discussed foods we should not eat, the side effects of taking medicines and herbal recipes, and presented the properties of selected vitamins.
