In an email to the editorial office, a reader wrote:

What about the crossing on Podgórna, next to Tyrankiewiczów? […] This issue was raised recently. Recently, I was crossing the road with my child at this spot, [...] a car from the left gave way to us, while another one flew past right in front of us. The next one stopped at the last moment. And we were standing in the roadway, waiting for one of them to stop.

And added:

Drivers probably do not see pedestrians at this crossing either. Such situations happen here very, very often.

On behalf of the reader, we appeal to drivers to exercise caution and prudence on the road, including at this intersection.

Let us remind you that we wrote about the issue as early as November last year. At that time, we received the following report:

I would like to shed light on one issue […]. It concerns an unlit and poorly marked pedestrian crossing near one of the main roads in our city: Tyrankiewiczów–Podgórna.

According to the person who reported it, accidents often occur at this intersection. A pedestrian was once killed here, and candles are still frequently lit at this spot.

The man added that he had recently witnessed a situation in which a car nearly hit a pedestrian.

Following our intervention, the Bolesławiec County Board installed new signs there.

What do you think? Do you also think it is dangerous there? We invite you to join the discussion.
