The incident occurred during the night of January 7–8 in Tomisław (Osiecznica municipality). Rubbish caught fire. Unfortunately, gas cylinders were standing nearby. One of them exploded.
Firefighters evacuated people from two nearby houses.
The fire was extinguished very quickly. The officers cooled the gas cylinders and checked whether there was any risk of an explosion or carbon monoxide.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Two units from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec took part in the operation, along with volunteer firefighters from Osiecznica, Przejęsław and Parowa.
