The incident took place on New Year's Eve in Otok (Bolesławiec municipality). The Wrocław Emergency Notification Centre informed firefighters from Bolesławiec that a woman had put her hand in a mixer and could not remove it.
Six rescuers from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec were dispatched, along with an emergency medical team.
At the scene, it turned out that the call was justified—the blade had become lodged in the injured woman's hand. Using an electric cutter, the firefighters cut off the end of the device.
The woman was taken to hospital.
