A resident of one of the apartment blocks reported to police that an axe was lying in the stairwell. District officers from the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec arrived at the scene and determined that it had been left there by one of the residents.
During the intervention, the officers smelled the characteristic odor of marijuana, so they checked everyone present in one of the apartments in the building.
The district officers’ suspicions were confirmed. They seized two types of drugs and arrested two people suspected of possessing narcotics: a 23-year-old woman from Bolesławiec and a 23-year-old man from Lwówek County.
(A police forensic technician confirmed that the pair had marijuana and methamphetamine on them).
Both suspects could now face up to three years in prison.
