Last week, we reported that a Christmas tree, two cups and a teapot had appeared in Bolesławiec’s Market Square. (We were able to reconstruct the installation of the decorations thanks to two cameras that transmit images continuously. One of the cameras shows the city fountain, while the other shows the eastern wall of the market square, where Oleńka restaurant is located.)

Critical comments from readers appeared immediately below the information about the Christmas decorations. Zaq:

In my opinion, the previous colors were more appropriate.

Not nice. Spring motifs that do not create a festive mood.

As istotne.pl was told by Kazimierz Łomotowski, head of MZGM, this was by no means about spring colors. The colors of the Christmas decorations that appeared in our market square were inspired, on the one hand, by the national colors (after all, this year we celebrated the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence!), and on the other, by our Bolesławiec gold—that is, ceramics.

What do you think of these decorations?
