Readers outraged by what they saw contacted our editorial office, drawing attention to holes cut into the road on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. Road workers removed huge sections of asphalt and failed to mark the resulting gaps.

Drivers were furious because these huge gaps were almost invisible at night. One reader said that as many as five cars with punctured tires had already been taken away by tow trucks.

We checked: there actually were warning signs, but only in three places. There were none at the exit from Zwycięstwa and Herberta Streets (when traveling toward the city).

The holes have now been repaired.
