We recently reported that there will be a new platform at Wrocław Główny station. As soon as we published this information on our website, Readers began asking what would happen to the platform in Bolesławiec. (To say that this investment had been approached like a dog approaches a hedgehog would be to say nothing at all.)
We asked the press office of PKP PLK about it. Bohdan Ząbek:
Work related to renovating the platform surfaces in Bolesławiec has begun.
The surface of platform no. 2 is being dismantled. The work will cover more than just the surface itself. The platform drainage system will also be reconstructed. Platform no. 2—which until now had a single edge—will receive a new edge 125 m long. The roof of the platform shelter will be extended accordingly so that it covers the area of the new edge.
The spokesperson adds:
The underground passage leading to platform no. 2 will also be renovated. All the work, including the renovation of the surface of platform no. 1, will be completed in the middle of next year.
The value of the work is approximately PLN 9.5 million. What do you think?
