The incident occurred on Thursday, 15 November, at around 11:00 a.m., on Widok Street in Bolesławiec. The engine of a Fiat Uno, in which a woman was traveling, stalled. Suddenly, smoke began coming from under the hood, and moments later the engine compartment itself burst into flames.

Fortunately, the driver managed to get out of the car. She was not injured.

The fire, which was probably caused by a short circuit in the electrical system, was extinguished by Bolesławiec firefighters.

The story was first reported by the The Bad Bunzlauer website.
