I have a small warning for users of the skatepark in Bolesławiec. Some very dangerous wet spots have appeared in certain parts of it. The day was dry, so this is probably not weather-related; nor do I think someone maliciously poured water over these elements.
He added:
To me, it looks like the concrete, or the material from which the infrastructure is made in general, is sweating.
According to the Reader, this is dangerous because it appears “in steep places where users travelling at speed perform turning manoeuvres, bends, etc.” The man’s son fell. Fortunately, it resulted only in bruises. (Nevertheless, the matter was reported to the municipal police.)
The man noted:
As far as I’m concerned, this is a very dangerous matter that needs to be investigated and any construction defects possibly removed.
Asked for comment, Zbigniew Kowalczyk, deputy head of MOSiR, said:
We believe that if there were wet spots on the pumptrack, they appeared solely for natural reasons. In our opinion, the facility was built in accordance with proper construction practices.
He immediately added:
But it is good that this question was raised, because next week we have a meeting with the contractor. We will certainly ask about this matter.
What do you think? Is the pumptrack safe? We invite you to join the discussion.
