On All Saints’ Day, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., students from the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych (Dorota Rejman, 1TRS; Maksymilian Zachert, 3TH; Oliwia Mocna, 2TH), together with their friends from Ukraine, took part in a public collection.

The goal was to carry out the “Save Your Great-Grandfather’s Grave from Oblivion” operation—more precisely, to transport votive candles to Lithuania and Ukraine and fund volunteers’ trips to the Lviv Eaglets Cemetery and cemeteries in Ukraine.

The volunteers from the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych and their friends from Ukraine were supported by a 17-student group from Primary School No. 5 in Bolesławiec.

“We would like to thank everyone very much for helping organize the collection,” said its organizers, Barbara Smoleńska and Elżbieta Hołyńska-Grzesiak.
