The World Judo Championships have ended in Cancún, Mexico. Twelve Poles competed in the veterans’ category.

The performances of all the veterans were noticed by the IJF (International Judo Federation) and described as “friendship, fun and fair play”. According to the Federation, these athletes are able to draw from judo, alongside the sporting result, what matters most – friendship, the joy of practising sport, as well as respect for one’s opponent and a game always conducted according to the principles of fair play.
