At the European Veterans Judo Championships held in Sarajevo, Polish competitors won 11 individual medals (2 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze), while judokas from the M-50 category and Izabela Herdzik competing together with Czech women also reached the podium.
The European runners-up were: Stanisław Pazgan (-66 kg), Sławomir Matejczyk (-90 kg) and Bolesławiec resident Edward Spraski (-100 kg), while the bronze medals were won by: Andrzej Rodzoch (-81 kg) and Sławomir Kamiński (-100 kg).
It is worth noting that our fellow townsman lost the gold-medal bout to Milanko Mucibabiciem, a multiple and reigning world champion.
More information is available on the website of the Polskiego Związku Judo. We congratulate our judoka and wish him further success.
