On 16 October, the duty officer of the Bolesławiec Municipal Police received a telephone report concerning littered land around a waste-container enclosure on Bielska Street. A patrol was immediately dispatched to the location and confirmed the report. Beside one of the enclosures lay a pile of unsorted, scattered cardboard boxes together with polystyrene.

The offender was identified. The irresponsible Bolesławiec resident was issued a fine and at the same time obliged to clean up. (Which he promptly did).

Referring to the Code of Petty Offences, the Bolesławiec Municipal Police once again reminds residents:

Anyone who pollutes or litters places accessible to the public, particularly a road, street, square, garden, lawn or green area, is liable to a fine of up to PLN 500.

And adds:

We would also like to remind residents that a Selective Waste Collection Point operates in our city at 6 Staszica Street.

Detailed information on waste collection, as well as the types of waste that we can deliver ourselves, is provided by the Customer Service Office of the Municipal Communal Services Company: tel. 75 734 62 71, ext. 34.
