An officer from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, while off duty, detained the perpetrator of the break-in and recovered the stolen bicycle.
The bicycle disappeared from a stairwell during the night of October 12–13; the owner valued the loss at PLN 1,000.
On Monday, October 15, the aforementioned police officer noticed a man riding the stolen bicycle. The 37-year-old rider was detained and the vehicle secured.
The burglar could now face up to 10 years in prison. (The recovered property will be returned to its owner.)
