Nine years ago, the istotne.pl portal organized a debate on introducing a requirement for women to make up 50 percent of electoral lists. What the women said on the subject almost a decade ago can be read in the article: Who Governs Bolesławiec? Men or Women?

This year, we also addressed the issue in an interview with Renata Fredyk, the only woman among the 21 people serving on the city council. Krzysztof Gwizdała asked the councillor in his Studio Bolesławiec programme: Why are so few women involved in politics in Bolesławiec? Who represents their interests on the council? Do women not want to get involved in local government? Are they unable to? Or perhaps they are not supported by men?

Questions like these and others may be raised during the debate at Oleńka, to which we warmly invite you.
