Tomasz Kot is promoting Paweł Pawlikowski’s latest production, “Cold War”, at the Festival. In the film, he plays the composer Wiktor. It is the story of a great and difficult love set against the events of the Cold War of the 1950s in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia and Paris.

The film has a chance of winning an Oscar; Pawlikowski received a statuette for “Ida”. Tomasz Kot is currently one of the best and most highly regarded Polish actors in the world. Producers of the film series about Agent 007 considered him for the role of Bond’s adversary.

The well-known actor invites viewers to Forum Cinema, operated since 1992 by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre, the Cultural Institution of the city of Bolesławiec. The venue is located in the city centre, at 1c Piłsudski Square. The cinema belongs to the Łącze Network of Art-House and Local Cinemas and the Łącze Polish Federation of Film Discussion Clubs. The cinema’s activities are supported by the Polish Film Institute Łącze. Forum Cinema received a nomination for the 5th edition of the Polish Film Institute Awards in the “CINEMA” category.

Following a major renovation completed in 2008, the cinema offers the highest standard of service and excellent screening comfort—since May 2010, also in digital and 3D technology. The venue is adapted for people using wheelchairs; we have a lift that leads directly from the foyer to the auditorium.
