The railway track on Cieszkowskiego Street in Bolesławiec is being renovated once again. Disruptions have been in place since Friday and will last until Tuesday. This time, the railway track itself is being replaced, rather than merely having its surface repaired.
“Due to the modernization of the crossing to Orlen, we are replacing all railway materials. We are doing this for transport safety. In previous years, as far as we observed, only preventive work was carried out; the railway track had not been touched for a long time. We are replacing the ballast, sleepers and rails. We will restore the asphalt,” says Krzysztof Michalak from Mitor, the company carrying out the renovation.
The disruptions will continue until late Monday evening. The crossing will be open again on Tuesday.
