The incident took place on Friday, September 7, at around 9:00 a.m., near a pharmacy on Grunwaldzka Street in Bolesławiec. The road administrator notified firefighters from the County Headquarters of the State Fire Service.

A broken bottle containing a substance lay on the pavement, and bees were swarming around it. Witnesses were frightened because the insects were reacting strangely to the liquid in question. (There were fears that it might be something toxic.)

At the scene, the uniformed officers detected the smell of alcohol. (Someone had probably dropped a fruit liqueur or some kind of syrup from their bag.)

Everything ended well. The firefighters collected the bees in a bag, rinsed the sticky substance off them and released them in the orchard next to the Bolesławiec headquarters.
