The incident took place on September 6. The Bolesławiec Municipal Police duty officer received a report about a vehicle with a trailer loaded with rubble, which was traveling toward the gravel pit on Kościuszki Street.
Since people often litter there, a Municipal Police patrol was immediately dispatched to the site. A dozen or so meters farther on, the officers found a man throwing tiles mixed with rubble out of his car.
The irresponsible resident of Bolesławiec was fined and obliged to clean up the polluted area. (Which he did immediately.)
Bolesławiec Municipal Police:
We remind you that the behavior described above is unacceptable and punishable, so let us remember this when planning a renovation.
Moreover, we once again inform you that the Customer Service Office of the Municipal Utility Management Company provides detailed information both on waste collection and on the types of waste that we may deliver ourselves to the Selective Waste Collection Point at 6 Staszica Street in Bolesławiec (tel. 75 734 62 71, ext. 34).
The officers add:
Let us remember that rubble—or any other renovation waste—must under no circumstances be thrown into an “ordinary” waste container, regardless of its amount. Such waste is not classified as municipal waste.
