Update 2009-04-02 02:22

We would like to thank all our readers who took part in the April Fools’ Day prank. To prepare this material properly, we also wove real information into it, such as the fact that the newspaper prepared during the last campaign is discussed in classes with students. It is also true that Piotr Roman objected to the sidelocks in his photograph, although they were not actually there. It is also true that over the course of two years we published only two critical reports directly related to Piotr Roman.

We assure you that Krzysztof Gwizdała is not interested in working for Piotr Roman. Nor does he recommend him as president of Bolesławiec.

To make the information seem more credible, we did not publish comments containing the words “April Fools’ Day” and “1 April”. All opinions are now visible. Once again, thank you for taking part in the prank.

From June, Krzysztof Gwizdała will be the spokesperson for President Piotr Roman and will run his mayoral campaign. Agnieszka Gergont offered to leave the position herself because she will become director of the new International Ceramics Centre, which is being built next to Forum cinema.

“Animosities are animosities, but Mr Gwizdała is the best person for this position. As for helping with the election, what convinced me was that students are now learning from the campaign he prepared for Stasik. At the University of Wrocław, a newspaper with my photograph—in which Mr Gwizdała allegedly added sidelocks to me—is shown as an example of negative promotion,” explains Piotr Roman.

Negotiations between Piotr Roman and Krzysztof Gwizdała had been ongoing for a long time. Gwizdała’s task was to show the president how he could be promoted negatively. Many materials were prepared in this way. Here are two of them:

“The finale was the ‘Become President of Bolesławiec’ happening, where we also agreed that Mr Gwizdała would become my spokesperson and run my campaign,” says Piotr Roman.

“I convinced the president of one thing. I managed to make everyone believe that I did not like him. That was the plan. Now I will certainly manage to convince everyone that he is the best president for this city,” says Krzysztof Gwizdała.

When Krzysztof Gwizdała takes up the spokesperson’s role, the portal will be managed by Marcina Zabawa, who has been associated with the website since its inception.
