The new school year for the students of “Five” is also associated with the opening of a new multifunctional sports-field complex. The new synthetic-surface field is intended for basketball and volleyball.

The complex also includes a beach-volleyball court. The complex is fenced and equipped with ball-stop nets. The project cost over PLN 669,000. The funds came from the city budget.

– This year, the first stage of the investment was completed. The second stage at Primary School No. 5 provides for the construction of a 160-metre synthetic-surface running track, as well as long-jump and high-jump facilities. The plans also include the construction of a multifunctional field inside the track, the construction of a basketball and volleyball court using the existing asphalt base, and the construction of a shot-put area. The second stage also includes the installation of fitness equipment for a health trail and the installation of a shelter – informs Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.

In Bolesławiec, the new school year began for 2,628 primary-school pupils and 400 students in the third year of lower-secondary school (the final cohort of lower-secondary education). In fourteen first-year classes, 343 students began their education.
